Room and Board
Furnished rooms (bed, desk, dresser provided for each dorm student, linens are not provided) for single men are provided in the Seminary building. Residents are charged $1500 per quarter for room and partial board. Additionally, each dorm student may elect to participate in the Seminary Work program to alleviate roughly $1000 per quarter of housing expenses by laboring six hours per week at the Seminary on assigned tasks.
The Seminary food service provides a noon meal daily Tuesday through Friday. Non-residents may arrange for these meals by reservation and the cost of a meal is $4.50.
Housing Options for Singles & Married Students
The Seminary currently owns a duplex, a 4 bedroom house, and four apartments for student housing options very near (across the street and beside) the Seminary campus. Here are some brief descriptions of each housing option:
Duplex (105 Carnegie Place) - Two bedroom, one bath, large living and dining area, off-street parking, adjoining the Seminary property. Rent is $525/month plus utilities. Laundry facilities are available at the Seminary building for $35/quarter.
Duplex (107 Carnegie Place) -Two (and 1/2) bedroom, one bath, large living and dining area, off-street parking, adjoining the Seminary property. Rent is $535/month plus utilities. Laundry facilities are available at the Seminary building for $35/quarter.
House (112 Carnegie Place) - Four bedroom, one bath, large home beside the Seminary, off-street parking. Rent is $700/month plus utilities. Laundry facilities are available at the Seminary building for $35/quarter.
Apartment (7401 Penn Avenue) - Two bedroom apartment for either married student with children, or for up to four single students. Cost per family is $500 per month plus utilities. Cost per single is $250 per month plus 1/4 utilities.
Apartment (7403 Penn Avenue) - One bedroom apartment for either married student, or for up to two single students. Cost per family is $450 per month plus utilities. Cost per single is $250 per month plus 1/2 utilities.
Apartment (7405 Penn Avenue) - One bedroom apartment for either married student, or for up to two single students. Cost per family is $450 per month plus utilities. Cost per single is $250 per month plus 1/2 utilities.
Apartment (7407 Penn Avenue) - One Bedroom apartment for either married student, or for up to two single students. Cost per family is $435 per month plus utilities. Cost per single is $250 per month plus 1/2 utilities.
Additional housing options are readily available in the community for single and married students, and Seminary staff can assist you in securing such housing if need be.
