Students whose grade point average in previous academic work is below average may be accepted on academic probation for two quarters. At the end of the probationary period, the student must have a 2.5 grade point average or will be subject to dismissal. Any student whose cumulative grade point average falls below 2.5 will ordinarily be placed on probation. Students are not usually permitted to take more than 12 hours while on probation.
