Scripture Verse
“When
the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality,
then shall come to pass the saying that is written: ‘Death is swallowed up in
victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?’ The sting of death is sin, and the power of
sin is the law. But thanks be to God,
who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be
steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that
in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
- 1 Corinthians 15:54-58
Quote
“Your
role is to be the trustee, manager, and steward of 100 percent of what God
entrusts to you during your lifetime.”

New Building Purchased, Biblical
Counseling Institute Planned
For the first time in decades, we have room to set up a counseling
training site, having just purchased a storefront property directly across
the street from the Seminary at 7401
Penn Avenue!
One key need for the Reformed
Presbyterian Theological Seminary is to provide more training in Biblical
counseling during preparation for gospel ministry.
We want our students to get practical counseling training as
well as classroom lectures. We also
hope to meet the needs of those currently serving in the pastorate who feel
ill-equipped to handle the Biblical counseling required of them.
In preaching, our students not only study in the classroom; they
also preach a number of sermons which are then critiqued. In evangelism, our students not only study
in the classroom; they also do investigative Bible studies with unbelievers
and are shown how to do door-to-door outreach. In apologetics, our students not only study
in the classroom; they also are assigned an “apologetic encounter” with
someone in the community. But until
now, we have not been able to provide this kind of hands-on training in
Biblical counseling. And all the
while, the demands for pastoral counseling continue to increase.
This long-desired program could be the biggest single advancement in our
training of pastors that we have seen in our generation, with far-reaching
benefits for Christ’s Church. >>READ MORE>>
