Evening Classes
Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.)
People considering this Degree Program are those teaching in church schools or Christian schools, those who are serving on church staffs as youth workers, counselors, or administrators, and those who are serving in para-church organizations or as missionaries.
The M.T.S. degree is planned for those men and women who desire personal enrichment and vocational training through theological education leading to a graduate degree. Completion of the course of study ordinarily requires at least two academic years. The following requirements apply to all M.T.S. degree candidates of the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary for graduation:
- the completion of a minimum of 90 quarter hours, extending over at least six quarters;
- the completion of 60 quarter hours in required courses and 18 quarter hours in an area of concentration;
- a cumulative grade-point-average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale);
- at least 45 quarter hours taken at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary;
- enrollment and residency at the Reformed Presbyterian Seminary at the time of completion of the course of study.

Students are to choose one of the following three areas of concentration
and complete at least 18 quarter hours of coursework in that area:
Doctrinal & Historical Studies
Beyond those courses taken as required core courses, students must
take at least a combined
total of 18 hours of study in Systematic Theology and
in Church History. Any combination of these two areas of study beyond the core requirements is acceptable.
Biblical Studies
Students must take at least 18 hours of study in New Testament or
Old Testament Studies beyond those courses required as core courses.
Language courses may count toward credit in Biblical Studies, but
they are not required.
Biblical Counseling
Students are required to take 12 credits of counseling courses in addition to the required BC11 Introduction to Biblical Counseling. Additional requirements for this concentration include ST31 Doctrine of Human Nature and PT23 Evangelism. Opportunity for N.A.N.C. Certification will also be available through this program.
