RPTS has released a new history book, entitled To God Alone Be Glory, to celebrate the upcoming bicentennial in 2010.
Here are some highlighted comments from the book's cover from President Emeritus Dr. Bruce C. Stewart:
"This bicentennial volume is an excellent acknowledgment of what God has been doing at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary. The authors have carefully integrated history with personality to show the quality of the program and the impact which the Seminary has made upon the church and the world. In each of seventeen chapters, faculty and students have opened the doors to the life, interrelationships, rigor of study, and soundness in the faith of the Seminary. I heartily recommend To God Alone Be Glory ... This book chronicles not only the history, but the continued development of the Seminary under its present leadership. It challenges future interest and support not only from the Reformed Presbyterian Church, but from all who profess true Biblical faith. In an appealing way it tells the story of a Seminary which has focused on preparing pastors, and which God has kept true to its commitment to Scripture for 200 years."
Edited by Dr. Norman M. Carson, the book is full color and full of photos old and new. "To God Alone Be Glory is designed to be a cumulative testimony setting forth reasons to praise the Lord for His sparing the Seminary no mercies, and thereby giving the Reformed Presbyterian Church grace upon grace," said Carson in the book's forward. Representing a spread of approximately sixty-five years among its authors who reflect on their days at RPTS anecdotally and in personal reflections. Following are the chapter titles and authors:
