Master of Divinity Degree (M.Div.)
Degree Requirements
The Seminary offers the M.Div. degree, a complete and balanced preparation
for the pastoral ministry. Completion of the course ordinarily requires
at least three academic years and one summer internship. The following
requirements apply to all M.Div. degree candidates of the Reformed
Presbyterian Theological Seminary for graduation:
- the completion of a minimum of 135 quarter hours, extending
over at least nine quarters;
- the completion of 120 quarter hours in required courses;
- a cumulative grade-point-average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale);
- at least one year in residency at the Reformed Presbyterian
Theological Seminary;
- enrollment and residency at the Reformed Presbyterian Seminary
at the time of completion of the course of study.
Master of Theological Studies Degree (M.T.S.) NEW!
Degree Requirements
People considering this Degree Program are those teaching in church
schools or Christian schools, those who are serving on church staffs
as youth workers, counselors, or administrators, and those who are
serving in para-church organizations or as missionaries. The M.T.S.
degree is planned for those men and women who desire personal and/or
vocational enrichment and training through theological education
leading to a graduate degree. Completion of the course of study
ordinarily requires at least two academic years. The following requirements
apply to all M.T.S. degree candidates of the Reformed Presbyterian
Theological Seminary for graduation:
- the completion of a minimum of 90 quarter hours, extending over
at least six quarters;
- the completion of 57 or 58 quarter hours in required courses
and 18 quarter hours in an area of concentration;
- a cumulative grade-point-average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale);
- at least 45 quarter hours taken at the Reformed Presbyterian
Theological Seminary;
- enrollment and residency at the Reformed Presbyterian Seminary
at the time of completion of the course of study.
