Aaron Sams to Join the Staff of the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary as Director of Admissions
Aaron Sams is joining the staff of the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary (RPTS) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As Director of Admissions, Aaron will oversee recruiting efforts for the Seminary which has been in existence since 1810. In addition to his admissions responsibilities, Sams will also take lead of the Seminary’s development of a Distance Learning Platform.
Aaron is married to Kelsey and has a son and twin girls. Aaron and Kelsey met at Biola where he graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry and an M.A in Education. Sams has been a high school science teacher in California and most recently in Woodland Park, Colorado. He also has an internationally known Educational Technology consulting business where he assists school districts and individuals in the integration of technology into the classroom setting. Aaron was also a recipient of the 2009 Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching.
When not in the classroom, Aaron devotes his time to his family and a varied pool of interests including cooking, coffee roasting, music, outdoor activities, and home projects. A self confessed “techno-guy”, Aaron is a passionate student of learning. “Since high school, I have had thoughts about seminary,” notes Aaron. He has spent many enjoyable hours with the pastor and elders at the Springs Reformed Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He anticipates drawing upon all of these experiences as he seeks to glorify God through his work at RPTS.
